    Zeron 100 super duplex welding wire (ER2594 ER2553, UNS S32760 filler metal)

    Zeron 100 welding wire covers the super duplex filler-metal range used to weld Zeron 100 base material and other 25Cr super duplex grades. Two filler classifications: ER2594 (per AWS A5.9 / ISO 14343) is the overmatching filler, richer in Cr, Ni, Mo, and N than the base metal, used as the standard call for production welds where the deposit must match or exceed base-metal corrosion + mechanical properties. ER2553 is the matching-composition filler used when the weld will be solution-annealed post-deposit.

    Wire rod stock (cold-drawn round wire 0.8 mm to 6.4 mm OD on spools / coils, or bare bar in 1m / 3m / 6m straight lengths) supplied for: GTAW / TIG welding (most common for super duplex), GMAW / MIG, FCAW, SAW (submerged arc on heavy plate / pipe), and orbital welding on tube/pipe joints. Wire surface finish: cold-drawn smooth bare; copper-coated available on request for MIG feeding stability.

    Welding Procedure Tips for Zeron 100

    • Heat input control, 0.5-1.5 kJ/mm typical
    • Interpass temperature, max 150°C
    • Shielding gas, 95% Ar + 2-3% N2 + 1-3% CO2 for GMAW; 100% Ar with optional 2-5% N2 for GTAW
    • Backing gas, required on root passes; 100% Ar or 90% Ar + 10% N2
    • No preheat, heat input is the primary control
    • Post-weld solution-anneal, recommended for high-pressure / sour-service joints
    • Ferrite check on weld, ASTM A923 Method C; target weld-metal ferrite 35-65%
