Zeron 100 rings are super duplex stainless steel forged rings (UNS S32760 / Werkstoff 1.4501) made by the rolled-ring forging route per ASTM A473, a billet is upset-forged, pierced, and rolled radially-axially on a ring mill to develop the final ring section. Used for slewing-bearing components, large-bore seal rings, flange backing rings, valve seat rings, and structural rings in offshore + chemical processing equipment.

Rolled-ring forging produces a circumferential grain flow that gives the ring superior fatigue resistance + hoop-strength uniformity vs ring sections cut from plate. After forging, mandatory solution-anneal at 1100-1140°C + water quench to dissolve any sigma-phase that formed during cooldown. NDT package includes UT, MPI, dimensional, and a witness-coupon test for chemistry / mechanical / Charpy / ferrite / G48 CPT / A923 sigma-phase, same MTC tier as forged flanges.
