Zeron 100 AFP forgings are super duplex stainless steel forgings (UNS S32760 / Werkstoff 1.4501) per ASTM A182 F55, post-machined and surface-treated with anti-friction coatings (Xylan 1014/1070/1400/1424, Xylar 2/101, SermaGard 1105/1280, Dacromet 320/500, TakeCoat 1000, MolyKote, Magnigard) per ASTM F1137. Used on repeated-makeup flange faces (Statoil platform riser flanges), valve seat surfaces (where uncoated duplex would gall during repeated valve-stem actuation), large-diameter sealing rings + ring-joint flanges where the seating surface needs predictable coefficient of friction across multiple disassembly cycles.
